There’s a bit of a longstanding joke here in Mudgee that you could live here for 30 years and still not be considered a local! But for us at Lazy Oak Wines, we proudly call ourselves locals. We’ve fallen head over heels for the Mudgee region, and after a decade in this beautiful area, we can wholeheartedly say that this is home.

Lazy Oak has a rich history that we cherish deeply. Our roots trace back to Miramar Wines and the inspiring legacy of Ian MacRae. As we continue to develop and evolve, we are dedicated to creating something truly pure and special that honours our beginnings while looking forward to the future.

One of the things we love most about Lazy Oak is hosting events that bring people together and create lasting memories. Our vineyard is more than just a place to enjoy fine wine; it’s a space where stories are made, and special moments are celebrated. Whether it’s milestone birthdays, anniversaries, or your big day - weddings - we take pride in helping you bring your event to life with a touch of Mudgee magic.

Over the years, our regular events lineup has grown, and we couldn’t be more thrilled with our diverse offerings. You can enjoy delicious bites cooked over fire at our Fireside to Fork evenings, have engaging conversations under the stars at Drinks at Dusk and usher in Autumn with the best live music Mudgee has to offer at our Barrels and Bands event. Not to mention the fun shenanigans for St Patrick’s Day!   

Our annual Mother’s Day Brunch is a beloved tradition, where families gather to celebrate and honor the incredible women in their lives with delectable dishes and fine wine. And let’s not forget our Easter events, which bring the coast to Mudgee with seafood and wine as a crowd favourite, plus a very special visit from the Easter Bunny.

Our love for Mudgee and its vibrant community is at the heart of everything we do. We want to share this special place with everyone, and there’s nothing more rewarding than seeing the joy and connections that our events foster.
