Foodie Favourites
Apr 28, 2025
Lowe Family Wine Co has been named in this year’s delicious100. In its search for the best 100 foodie experiences across the country, it’s no wonder this iconic Mudgee destination has found itself among the top.
Home of Lowe Wines cellar door and The Zin House restaurant – Tinja Farm forms the basis of all that owners David Lowe and Kim Currie do. Standing on Wiradjuri land, the farm takes a regenerative approach, applying organic and biodynamic practises across all the operations. From the extensive permaculture gardens that supply the hatted restaurant, to the rows of vineyards that produce wine celebrating the terroir on which they stand. It is through this consideration for the land that Lowe and Currie champion the best of regional food & wine.
“In the rarefied world of wine, it can be forgotten that so much of winemaking is about farming. But a love of the land is palpable at Tinja Farm” – delicious100
It is this same authenticity, care and craftmanship that is taken to their town-based artisan bakery, Althea by Zin. Combining traditional baking methods with the best ingredients they can source, from Tinja and other regional suppliers who share their ethos, they produce artisan sourdough, pastries and coffee that could rival any cities.
With more than half of this year’s delicious100 destinations being outside of capital cities, it speaks to importance of not only valuing the product, but also the places that it is grown.
The Country Plate celebrates country inspired gifts, homewares and handmade treats, with their sought after range of Rylstone-made rocky road at the heart of it all. Each batch is crafted with care, bringing together premium ingredients in irresistible combinations.
Their newest creation Picnic Road is inspired by lazy afternoons spent with loved ones. Picnic Road brings together creamy peanut butter and delicate Turkish delight in a blend as smooth as velvet. Each bite captures the joy of a picnic—the laughter, the sunshine and the endless, carefree hours. This rocky road will take you back to those dreamy, golden moments outdoors, where every bite is a celebration of time well spent. Handmade in Rylstone, it’s the perfect locally made Easter gift - something sweet, unique and crafted with heart.

Also on the delicious100 list is the Warakirri Dining Experience by Indigie Earth - an immersive journey into Indigenous culture, history, and native Australian flavours.
