Located just up from the bakery, Bowerbird Cottage is a treasure trove of vintage and antique finds. With beautifully decorated windows, chandeliers, and a striking feature wall, the store itself is a feast for the eyes. Inside, three large rooms are filled with carefully curated pieces for the home including kitchenware, man cave essentials and furniture. Owner Elise Rafferty is passionate about preserving history, and also offers a growing range of renovator items including one-off stained glass windows, heritage doors, and hardware - many saved from demolition. If you’re searching for something special, just ask - there’s always more stock stored offsite, waiting to be discovered.

The Fiddlers Hame is part of the tapestry of Gulgong. Allan & Jenny Walsh have collected an incredible array of bric-a-brac, vinyl records, antique knives, rifles, axes and much more. You can always find Allan behind the counter ready for a yarn and a laugh. He is the Fiddler behind the name and a stunning array of fiddles (violins) are on display in store. As an awarded Folk musician on occasions Allan can be coerced into playing a tune. You can’t visit Gulgong without a trip to The Fiddlers Hame.

Along with handmade gifts, crystals, candles, souvenirs, prospecting equipment, and old bottles from the local area, there’s always something unique to discover. You’ll also find a large selection of Australian coins and banknotes for sale, plus we stock a large range of coin albums, coin collecting, and banknote supplies and accessories.
