2025 Mudgee Classic

Cycling enthusiasts, mark your calendars - the Mudgee Classic is back for its fifth year, set to take place on the weekend of 3-4 May 2025.

As one of Australia’s most renowned cycling events, the Mudgee Classic brings together over 2,000 riders from across the country, offering five diverse courses across two days. From the scenic 35km Social Classic to the challenging 170km Maxi Classic, the event caters to all skill levels while showcasing the breathtaking landscapes of the Mudgee region.

The weekend is more than just a cycling challenge - it’s an economic boost for local businesses, with an influx of visitors filling accommodation, restaurants, and shops. Local sporting groups and not-for-profits also benefit, with funds donated by event organisers to those who volunteer.

Road closures will be in effect on Sunday, May 4, to ensure safety for participants and the community. Full details, maps, and registration information can be found at www.mudgeeclassic.com.au.

Whether you’re a seasoned cyclist or a local looking to soak up the event atmosphere, the Mudgee Classic is a must-experience weekend celebrating sport, community, and the beauty of the region.

Artists and creatives in the Central West have the chance to boost their business skills with a series of free workshops presented by Arts OutWest and Service NSW Business Connect. Designed to help creative professionals thrive as small businesses, these sessions offer practical insights into pitching, pricing, social media, and time management.

Hope After Loss in Mudgee: The NALAG Centre for Loss and Grief

Nestled in the main street of Mudgee, there is a small office that stands as a symbol of hope and compassion: the NALAG Centre for Loss and Grief Mudgee. This office is home to dedicated volunteers ready to support those navigating the challenging journey of loss and grief, providing face-to-face and telephone grief support across Australia.

Operated by a team of devoted volunteers, the NALAG Centre Mudgee continues its mission with the assistance from the NALAG organisation and its supporters who tirelessly fundraise to keep its doors open. These volunteers are the heart and soul of the centre, providing a warm, welcoming environment where individuals can find comfort during their toughest times.

NALAG Mudgee’s mission is clear - to offer a safe space for those who are grieving, to listen, and to provide the support that is often so desperately needed. It is a place where the weight of grief is understood and shared, ensuring that no one has to face their grief alone.

In a world where grief can often feel isolating, NALAG Mudgee is a reminder of the power of community and the importance of human connection. It stands as a testament to the resilience and generosity of the human spirit, making a profound difference in the lives of those it touches.

The NALAG Centre Mudgee is humbled to be this year’s recipient of funds raised by the First National Real Estate Charity Auction in June, and we call on anyone who may be in a position to donate goods or services for the charity auction to contact NALAG Mudgee or First National Real Estate.

Together, we can continue to provide essential support and compassion to those in need.
