Following a change of ownership in late 2024, one of Mudgee’s original motels has undergone a full glow-up. Reopened in August as The Cudgee at Mudgee, the motel now features beautifully refurbished rooms, landscaped gardens and an upgraded pool area - all designed to deliver a modern take on the classic country motel experience.
Set against a peaceful backdrop of paddocks, the property offers a bushland feel just minutes from Mudgee’s centre. The refurbishment focused on natural, chemical-free materials, avoiding single-use plastics, prioritising Australian-made furnishings and blending style with practicality.
Rooms feature cork flooring for year-round comfort and sound insulation, Koala furniture, and curated Australian artworks - including pieces by local Mudgee artists.
