One of my favourite jobs each quarter

Every quarter, there's one job I genuinely look forward to.

Loading thousands of magazines into the car and heading out across the region to deliver them.

It's a big job. Over a few days, I'll cover hundreds of kilometres, visiting cafés, wineries, accommodation providers, shops, visitor centres and businesses from Mudgee to Gulgong, Kandos, Rylstone and beyond.

People often ask why we don't just outsource it.

The answer is simple.

Because this is one of the few times each quarter that I get to see so many of you.

I get to pop into businesses, say hello, hear what's been happening, celebrate your wins and sometimes even hear the ideas that end up becoming stories in future issues.

It's a reminder that Mid-Western Living isn't created from behind a desk.

It's created by being part of this community.

As I make my way around the region, I also get to see our magazine being picked up. Someone reading it over a coffee. A couple planning where they'll visit next. Guests in local accommodation discovering a business they didn't know existed.

Those moments never get old.

They're a reminder that every issue has a job to do: connecting people with the incredible businesses, places and experiences that make our region so special.

So if you see me over the next week with a boot full of magazines, don't be afraid to say hello.
